Who are we?

We are Trade Plant Hire Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under registration no. 12606412 (“we”, “us”, “our”).

We take your privacy and the security of your data very seriously. This Privacy Policy will inform you as to how we look after your personal data when you visit www.tradeplanthire.co.uk (our “Website”) or download our mobile app.

We do not collect any special categories of personal data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health, and genetic and biometric data). Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.

Failure to provide personal data

Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you, and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you.

(a) where we need to perform a contract with you (i.e. if you hire a product from one of our stockists);

Keeping your personal data safe

Where we store your personal data

It may also be processed by staff operating outside the UK or the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. How long we keep it

If we have not had meaningful contact with you (or, where appropriate, the company you are working for or with) for a period of 5 years, we will delete your personal data from our systems unless we believe, in good faith, that the law or other regulation requires us to preserve it (for example, because of our obligations to tax authorities or in connection with any anticipated litigation).

Disclosing your personal data

Where we do so, any such disclosure will be on the basis that these third parties are required to keep the data we give them confidential and secure, and will not use it for any other purpose than to carry out the services they are performing for us. (a) personal data about customers will be shared with stockists to facilitate the rental of the relevant equipment;

(b) we will share personal data with third parties to whom we may choose to sell, transfer, or merge parts of our business or our assets. Alternatively, we may seek to acquire other businesses or merge with them. If any such change happens to our business, then the new owners may use your personal data in the same way as set out in this Privacy Policy; and

(c) our professional advisors (e.g. accountants, lawyers etc.).

Like all UK businesses, we are subject to the law. We may be required to give information to legal authorities if they so request or if they have the proper authorisation such as a search warrant or court order.
